Research, Technological Development and Innovation Management Office
The Office of Research, Technological Development and Innovation Management of the Vice-Deanship of Research, Development and Innovation of the Faculty of Engineering is responsible for:
Manage and analyze indicators that allow establishing strategic actions for the promotion and development of research, technological development and innovation of the Faculty.
Support the process of seeking funding for research, development and innovation projects.
Identify calls for proposals that are in line with the Faculty's lines of research.
Manage the information of the Faculty's professors and research groups and the R+D+I projects in which they participate.
Design, implement and lead strategic processes associated with the life cycle of the Faculty's R+D+I projects.
Develop the University's Research, Technological Development, Innovation and Artistic Creation Seedbed Program (IDiCA seedbed program) in the Faculty.
Promote and follow up on the technological developments generated in the Faculty.
Promote and support the creation of technology-based ventures (spin-offs resulting from the generation of own intellectual production.
Support the identification, formulation, structuring, formalization and execution of strategic public investment projects.
Identify needs and opportunities in the public and private sector for which the Faculty, based on its scientific and technological capabilities, can present initiatives or projects for solution or exploitation.
Propose and implement methodologies, techniques and tools required for the identification, structuring and management of faculty projects and services.
Promote the qualification of teachers for the management, formulation, supervision and control of projects (proposals, schedules, budgets).
Promote the articulation of the Academic Units for the formulation and execution of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary strategic projects in the Faculty.
The Research Seedbeds seek to promote from the first semesters of undergraduate studies the participation of students of the School of Engineering in the different modalities of the Research Seedbed Program after the restructuring that is framed in resolution No. 50 of August 30, 2022: Research, Technological Development, Innovation and Artistic Creation Seedbed Program (IDiCA).
It is indispensable that the student complies with the requirements to be part of the research seedbed program present in Article 4 of Resolution 052 of the Superior Council.
