The general objective of the Extension and Social Projection Department of the School of Engineering is to maintain, strengthen and deepen relations with the economic, social and environmental surroundings of the region and the country. The actions of this Directorate may be financed by external entities or offered in solidarity as support to organized vulnerable communities and non-profit institutions with limited resources.
Structure and lines of work
- Office of Services and Continuing Education; for the execution of activities such as:
- Consulting, Advisories, Technical Assistance.
- Audits, Oversight and Evaluations.
- Continuing Education (courses, seminars, workshops, conferences, diploma courses).
- Continuing Education (Congresses, Webinars, refresher courses, extension courses, forums).
- Office of Social Projection and Graduates:
- Strengthening integration and coordination with the public, productive and business sectors.
- Support for the development of corporate social responsibility projects.
- Management of donations from graduates and non-graduates of the Faculty, and from private companies and institutions.
- Management of the Faculty's alumni database and its articulation with the Institutional Alumni Program.
- Consolidation and strengthening of links with the Faculty's graduates, facilitating access to information and favoring possibilities of support and support for specific activities.
- Promotion of the articulation between the academic units of the Faculty and the alumni associations and unions.
- Internship and Entrepreneurship Office: It guides both professors and undergraduate students of the School of Engineering in the process of legalizing internships as well as the ideation of entrepreneurship. It is also in charge of the articulation between students and companies to carry out student internships.
- STEM Women's Group, whose mission is to promote the participation of women in areas of Science and Technology to contribute to the achievement of gender parity throughout society.
