The Support Program for Graduate Assistants of Universidad del Valle is defined as a strategy to encourage graduate students of the Faculties and Academic Institutes who have the skills, abilities and vocation to contribute to the University's mission activities, which will contribute to the improvement of results and indicators, and to the permanence of students, through economic recognition by Special Funds.
This incentive is different from the one that the University recognizes under the figures of monitoring, teaching assistants and research assistants.
Requirements
To be eligible for the Graduate Assistantship Program, students must meet the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in at least 60% of the credits or academic activities foreseen by the Graduate Academic Program for the respective semester.
- Have the endorsement of the Coordinator or Director of the respective Program.
- Submit the application within the established terms and deadlines, attaching the required documentation.
- Demonstrate competence and aptitude in the area in which he/she will perform his/her activity.
- To accredit a cumulative grade point average of not less than three point eight (3.8) in the subjects taken up to the moment or in the undergraduate program, in case of being enrolled in the first semester.
- Not to have been disciplinarily sanctioned and not to be in poor academic performance at the time of application.
