Social Projection Office
The Social Projection Office is attached to the Extension and Social Projection Department. It is responsible for supporting and managing initiatives and requests for advice, technical assistance, accompaniment and improvement of the quality of life of organized vulnerable communities. Among its objectives are the following:
- Support the management of initiatives and requests for advice, technical assistance, accompaniment and improvement of the quality of life of organized vulnerable communities and for the strengthening of capacities of non-profit institutions with limited resources, through the participation of professors, students and alumni in collaborative social research projects on engineering problems.
- Promote the development of volunteer activities and corporate social responsibility projects.
- Manage the Faculty Donations Program and promote the participation of graduates and non-graduates, as well as private companies and institutions.
- Support the articulation of strategies with private and public companies and institutions, NGOs, national and international, and community organizations to strengthen the inter-institutional relationship of the Faculty, with the objective of developing programs, projects and services of extension and social projection.
Financing:
In order to support the development of the activities and projects of the Volunteering and Social Solidarity Outreach Line, a specific budget line will be established annually by resolution,not less than 7% of the contributions to the Dean's Office projected for the year for extension agreements and contracts. The budget line may be expanded through donations, specific contributions or budgetary additions for the Line.
