Social Solidarity Extension Services

The line of action supports the University Community: teachers, administrators, students and graduates. Some of the services offered are:

Services for schools

To keep cloisters updated on social issues that concern Colombia, for which they provide training. In the year 2022, the I Pacific Regional Meeting was held, where all the academic programs of the School of Engineering were invited.  

This invitation was accepted by: Industrial Engineering, Natural Resources and Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Geomatics and Statistics. The following topics were developed:

• Humanitarian Engineering and Education. Held on March 5, 2022.
• Alternative Energies. Held on April 9, 2022.

Alumni Services

Linkage in the implementation of projects to ReCIDS - Colombian Network of Engineering and Social Development.

In order to achieve communication between the School of Engineering and the Office of Volunteering and Social Solidarity Outreach, two subjects have been developed, which are offered as complementary electives. These are:

Student Services

The students of the School of Engineering have the option to carry out their degree work through the Social Practical Work, according to resolution No. 074 May 14, 2015 of the Academic Council.
